Operating as "Consultation Financial", the primary business is the provision of financial services and advice. The principal and founder of the company is Douglas Allan Raynor, BA.

After twenty years with the Government of Canada working in property management and long range investment planning, Doug worked as a management consultant, conference organizer and marketing director for an educational savings program.

This led him back to the life insurance industry where he found his life experience and training suited him to offer service. Doug's father had been a very successful life insurance agent, so this decision carries on a family tradition. Doug is licensed to sell life and health insurance in Alberta. The Consultation Corporation was incorporated November 26, 1997.

Thanks for your email a few weeks ago. Thankfully, the treatments M has undergone have been as effective as we could hope. [She had surgery in August, and in October she started Chemo (4 treatments, about 1 every 3 weeks). Now she's started radiation, and will continue almost every day for a month. The long term treatment includes hormone therapy for 5 years. M did have to spend a few days in hospital with a cold after the first chemo run, but since then she's been taking an immune booster. Other than that the surgery was excellent with no cancer remaining, there was no lymph involvement, and she healed well. Also, the chemo was relatively "painless" with only moderate fatigue and minor nausea.] We've been very fortunate.
As for the CI payout, that went through with only moderate (though reasonable) delays for investigating the case. We received the funds in December, which helped pay for some uncovered medications, our remaining debts, a significant nest egg, as well as some reserve for when M runs out of sick time and has only 2/3 of her income on ST disability. She plans to return to work in May or June, and in April we'll have a 2 week family getaway. We were also pleased to find out that my CI and our joint life policies are still in effect, so that we are still covered in other ways. So things are good. M has asked me to tell you that it's almost as if providence intervened for us to see you when we did. Your advice and the services you provided were great, as well as timely.
